Hooray for new TV! And its only August. I am soooo spoiled.
Anyway, I caught the season premiere of Bones tonight, and was amused. I love the characters, they hold my attention much more than the stories, which is odd because Bones is definetly in one of my favourite genres. I think I like the new lady, though I wasn't sure at the begining. She just needs a bit to fit in better, I think. Plus, I *snerk*ed cause David B. just can't stay away from cemetaries. I have decided I like him much better as snarky and jovial, than his broody Angel-ness.
I also stayed tuned for the series premiere of Justice, which was quite enjoyable. I love Victor Garber, the good guy you hate to love, but he just gets to you. He's crass and says the wrong things, but you know he's right and you just hope he has good intentions. Plus, Kerr Smith is still pretty. As is the one and only female on the team (Rebecca Mader. I like that she wears a wedding ring in court so the jury will trust her more. And I like that at the end, they show you what really happened. Plus, next week: Lily!
In non-TV news, I made crock-pot beef stew tonight. It was okay, not as good as Mum's of course, but will pass. I think slow cooker meals will become a staple, as cooking for two people with wildly varying schedules is not fun. But Dan will have to learn to clean the damn thing. Tonight he was all "Whaaa, I can't submerge it in water cause its electrical, what shall I do?" Despite my assurances that you can clean it as its tipped on its side over the sink, he gave up and I finished. Ah well. He will learn.
Ooh! I got a pretty pretty postcard from Amie today! A beautiful scene of a reef off Okinawa, the island she's living on in Japan. Shall have to send her something back in return. Prehaps one of the pop up cards we have at work...hmm...
