Robin, in a rare bout of energy, had actually meandered out of bed with her boyfriend this morning, rather than helpfully watching him get dressed before going back to sleep.
It wasn't until she was idly putting on her makeup and scritching Popcorn's head that she noticed anything was off today.
"When she was twenty-two, the future looked bright
But she's nearly thirty now, and she's out every night
I see that look in her face -- she's got that look in her eye
She's thinking, "How did I get here?" and wondering why
It's sad but it's true how society says
Her life is already over
There's nothing to do and there's nothing to say
'Til the man of her dreams comes along picks her up and puts her over his shoulder
It seems so unlikely in this day and age"
"...crap. Not again."
[for the man of her dreams (but he'd best not pick her up and put her over his shoulder. She'd get all paranoid.)]
i have too many doggies,
fraser,
singing but not in a mall
