Wow halloween is over and done with now begins the fun of preparing for Christmas *rubs hands together in anticipation* I am looking forward to decorating my house pretty for Christmas. Hubby said that we are going to do lots of outside stuff for decorating this year.

The kids made off with quite the haul last night and they had fun, trick or treating is always a family event. We drive the kids around, they do a block then we go to another areas of town, we do this for about an hour or so and then we make random stops at friends houses' where we get treats of our own *winks*. So they had fun last night, and were pooped.. so was mom (but it doesn't take much to get mom pooped out these days.)

I went to the doctor yesterday because I have been getting a pain around my third rib on the right side, it almost feels like having a heart attack when the pain hits, very sharp and spreads to my arms, and lasts about 10-20 minutes at a time, but does not happen regularly either. But also I have been having problems breathing, I sometimes have to take real deep breaths and that is not natural, plus if I lay on my back of stomach it is very uncomfortable breathing wise. So anyways, my doctor is sending my for x-rays and an electrocardiogram to be sure it is not my heart, which he is pretty sure it is not, what he does think it is though is something called "costochondritis" which is the inflamation of cartliage where the ribs attach to the breast bone. Therefore because of the swelling around the ribs the lungs cannot expand which is why I have problems breathing.

It is not really known the cause of this condition, but the only way to ease the pain is with some type of anti-inflammatory. I have to adjust my lifestyle so that this will heal, and so that I do not feel the discomfort as often. Things that agravate it are; cold, rainy, humid weather, stress, exessive lifting, pulling, pushing long hours of driving or using computer, repetitive motions and caffeine, and smoking is not good either.

The bigget change I am going to be making is quitting smoking, the doctor gave me a prescription for Zyban which I start taking today and my quit date is set for next Sunday. I will be more than happy to get rid of that stupid habit! not only because of this condition but for a million other reasons as well. It is amazng how some smokers can be so stubbron to not want to quit until they find out that they have some sort of condition or disease that is either the leading cause from smoking or hinders the condition. I guess I am one of those people who wouldn't give uo until I knew it was affecting my health, and my life. What a dumb shit. But no more after next week I am giving up the disgusting dirty habit for good.

Okay I best get back to work I have a lot to do before I leave this office at 1:00... and it is already 11:30!! I am going to have a busy rest of the day when I leave here as well. My son has another hockey game today, then I have a Chamber banquet to go to this evening.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
