Inspired

Ah, Vanessa, you've inspired me. So I'm thinking of things that I want to do in 2007! Let's see if I can come up with 10.

1. Lose the rest of my pregnancy weight. Before I got pregnant I had lost 75 pounds doing weight watchers. Then, I got pregnant and gained a whole lot of ass. So, I want to lose what I gained.

2. While we're on the subject of weight loss...I would like to lose an additional 20-30 pounds beyond what I weighed pre-pregnancy.

3. This can most likely be achieved by actually sticking to my weight watchers program. It worked for me before and it will work again, I just have to be commited.

4. Take a trip to Ohio to see my family. We want to make the drive to Portsmouth as well. My family there has never met Mark and I want them all to meet Michael as well.

5. Save and I mean really save some money. We try to now but we don't set aside as much as we should and I think it's important that we start putting more away. We want to start a house fund.

6. Get my diabetes under complete control and if possible get rid of it totally. I almost had, then I got pregnant and pregnancy really f*&%'s with it and it's still been a little wacky lately. So, I want it gone.

7. Go for walks more often. The execise will be fabulous and the time and fresh air is relaxing after a hard day at work.

8. Take a course. I'm not sure where from or anything like that, I need my transcripts before I can even apply for education courses, but maybe even just a course in well heck I'm up for anything.

9. Take a culinary course of some kind...even for just a weekend. I want to learn to cook new things, yummy, healthy things.

10. Cook a big family dinner at least once a week and invite Mom, Dad, Ryan and Vicky if she ends up coming home to come and visit and eat with us.

There we go. I think that's mostly realistic. Hey, Vanessa what do you say at the end of 2007 we update with everything on our lists that we actually accomplished? And I want you to know that even though I don't think you need to lose weight (you're beautiful as is, and no I'm not being weird :)) , I am really inspired by your commitment to lose and stick to weight watchers. I need someone like you to remind me that I need to get my ass in gear and lose this weight. I need to be healthy for my family. So, thank you for being such an inspiration! Maybe sometime when we are in Winnipeg we can get together, we'll have to see.

Otherwise things are going great. Michael is growing like a weed and changing every day. He's the love of my life...I can't even imagine what it was like before him, and he's only 3 months old. Ok, I hope everyone is well. I'll try to update more often...but I'm a busy mommy!!
