Help Me SVP

Hey dudes/dudettes.

For one of my classes, we have been asked to find a definition of 'shy' or 'shyness,' from and source.

So, I have decided to ask here. So please help me out, and give me a long or brief opinion.  If you could think of the answer before reading other comments (if there are any), just so you are not biased towards another ( Read more... )

I would say that shyness is an mild to moderate aversion to contact with unformiliar people or situations. Hope that helps.

Shyness.....mmm i would probably define it something like shyness is a behavior that expresses an akwardish or an uncomfortable feeling that someone has either with the person or the place they are currently in. It can also come in from different forms based on the person too, such as not talking and fading into the crowd of people.I guess its kind of like a gaurd for some people so that they dont allow new things to happen to quickly and they are able to control it at their own pace???I don't know does that somewhat answer the question lol. i just think of it in a person's eyes and different situations.

shyness to me is like a urge to avoid social interaction with any one new or, some times just some one you havnet seen in a while. Its like you dont know that person and you really arent motivated to get to know them. Yeah I'll sitck with social avodance complusion.
