weekend
weather sucked nuts this weekend. like that expression! went out downtown on friday. had a lovely walk around the lake. then the skies clouded over and then opened up! boom rain everywhere. and us without an umbrella. thank god it was a quickie-the shower of course! had lovely Mövenpick ice cream and then came home. On Saturday we got up early to go to IKEA. Got hubby's birthday thing...a little case. and We bought a cactus. Then we went to the mall and i had the most infuriating time at H & M. I won't go into it becuase that wouldn't be good for my health. But I've changed my mind from bad customer service in CH to non-existent customer service.
Came home read Chick Lit book and ate Swedish cheese and olive bread. Then we went out for a drink with Taiwan. 2 bars, the second was out of my favourite drink-Gazosa. ugh. best drink ever-reminds me of a thing they used to have at the BAY restaurant called New York Seltzer. Just a bit more swank and expensive.
Then we came home and watched Kung Fu Hustle. It was very funny, but I like Shaolin Soccer better (friggin' fantastic!)...maybe it was the fact that we watched it with English subtitles but we had to deal with Chinese only on Kung FU Hustle. it's playing in theatres here (w/ German/french) but Taiwan had the DVD from a pirated copy from Beijing.
hubby is studying today and I've started packing. woohoo less than 2 weeks til I'm homeward bound
