Hello friends! It's a very lazy Sunday morning, so now seemed like a good time to write an entry. And I'm still going to call it morning, even though it's after noon, because it still feels like 11:30. Daylight savings totally screwed me up this time, because Brad and I stayed up late watching a movie last night, so I didn't get to bed till after 1 ( Read more... )

That sucks about the tax thing. I'm glad it all got sorted in the end, though. What a nightmare!

As for the birth control thing: I've been on it since I was around 15 because of heavy periods. I've come off it before and it took my body a month to go back to Hell Period. (Bleed heavily for 2-3 weeks, break for a week, rinse, lather, repeat). My mom was also a long time bc user and managed to get pregnant within two weeks of coming off of it each time.

There is also a new birth control method for men developing right now. It's in active use over in India but they haven't been able to get it out of trial phase yet. It's basically a small incision and they insert something and it lasts for 10 years or something and might even protect against HIV. (I can't remember full details, but I'll try to find the link for you a bit later if you're interested.)

Anyways, if you're not apart of it, there's a group called vaginapagina that is awesome with questions like these! There may also be a bunch about this topic already that you can just read. They're super friendly over there and very helpful. :)

Yeah, for real! Me too.

Ouch, that does not sound like a fun period. :( I would probably want to stay on bc too if I had periods like that. You have my sympathies, that's for sure!

Huh, that sounds interesting. I think it'd be great if they had something less invasive, too.

Thanks! :)
