I don't care much for the money that you're spending on me
Meant to include this in my earlier post, but forgot, so it'll get its own mini post. Advertising has officially gotten ridiculous. Well, it probably has been for awhile, but it's clearly crossed the line into madness at this point. I have started seeing back-to-school commercials. IN JULY. I think I saw the first one on my birthday the other day. Dude, school has only been out for three weeks! There's still another six weeks till Labour Day even! Come ON. And I mean, trust me, no one wants to go back to school more than I do, because back-to-school means back-to-getting-paid, and I'm all for that, but come on now. Let people enjoy at least half of their summers before you start reminding them that it's almost over!
In totally unrelated news, Kristian let me use her emusic again, and I do so love getting tasty new music. Today's acquisitions included the latest Passion Pit, Mika (at Kristian's recommendation), a few fun. songs, the new Matchbox Twenty single, and the completion of a Dragonette album. Yay for new things to listen to!
