breathe deeply in the silence, no sudden moves

So you'll have to get those at another time. :p Pucks n' Purls was pretty fantastic, but maybe I'll write more about that when I upload the pictures. In the meantime, my friend Erin posted a picture from Pucks n' Purls on her blog, so you can go check that out at least. That picture makes me think I need a haircut again. I guess it has been about three months or so.
Anyway, in other fun news, I got tickets to go see Snow Patrol in April!! I am super psyched about this, not least because I'll be going with e_liberation. Lee-Anne and I have been LJ friends for a year now, but have not met in person yet because all of our attempts to do so have fallen through. But, we've both just joined the same book club, so presumably we'll get to meet there next month, and then we can be concert buddies. :) I almost didn't get tickets because when I tried searching for tickets for Tuesday, April 17, Ticketmaster kept saying it couldn't find 2 seats together. And I was bummed. But I accidentally found out that Snow Patrol was actually playing two shows in Toronto on consecutive nights, and was able to get tickets to the Wednesday show with no problem. Yayyyy seeing my favorite band in concert with a new friend! :D
Hmm, what else was I going to mention here? Well, Brad and I have started trying to look for a new place to live. It's . . . sort of a pain, to be honest. We want to give our landlord 60 days notice, and since our non-lease is up at the end of April, that means telling them on March 1 that we want to move out. But most of the places that are listed now are available now, making it unlikely that they'd still be around on May 1, when we actually want to move. I have seen a couple places listed for April 1, which is more feasible: if we put down a deposit, we could reasonably expect someone to hold a place for a month. So I'll keep you guys posted on our search and let you know if we find something awesome.
I am SO grateful that this weekend is a 3-day weekend. I definitely feel like I need the break. I could use a whole week off, really, but I'll take 3 days. And then the following weekend, hobbit24 is coming to visit! I'm excited about that, but still need to touch base with her about our plans.
Currently, there is an adorable kitten sleeping on my stomach. Adorable, but not very bright. Her new trick is managing to lock herself in the bathroom where the litter box is. She likes to knock off the vent covers and bat them around the floor, and in doing so, manages to push the bathroom door shut. Then she whines pitifully until someone lets her out. It's special. I put something heavy against the door (and partially on top of the vent cover in there), so hopefully she will not manage to lock herself in anymore. :p
Okay, I can't think of what else I might have wanted to write about here, so I'm going to go read some of your entries (somehow I am always behind these days), and veg out some more until bed time.
