the absence of god will bring you comfort, baby

Here is a video post for you all. Fair warning, I was holding the camera myself the whole time, which I didn't realize made it a little shaky, but it did, so if that bothers you, I apologize. Maybe next time I'll just attempt to use my laptop's webcam. :-/

Anyway, video!

Hmmm. Well Brad is messier than I am, so that's something we've both had to adjust and compromise with - i.e., I try not to nag him when he leaves his clothes on the floor or his dishes on his desk or whatnot, and try not to let it bother me that the house is not always going to be up to the cleanliness standard I'd have on my own. And I think for him, it's been an adjustment to recognize that he's not in his own bachelor pad anymore and that it will affect another person when, for example, he doesn't replace the toilet paper after he's finished the roll.

I think another thing we've both had to adjust on is the amount of affection we give and receive. When we were still long distance this was never an issue, because when we did get to see each other we could be all over each other for the week or two that we had together, trying to make up for the months that we were apart. But finding a balance between me feeling like I'm getting enough affection/attention from him without him feeling like I'm smothering him has been another thing that we've had to work on.

Yes! This is definitely going to be something I encounter as I am a neat freak! I need to relax as well.

I think I've come to recognize that it's not the end of the world if there are dishes or clothes or whatnot around the house. Brad always tidies up when I have guests coming over, and when it's just us, I could worry about the little bit of a mess or I could enjoy our time together. Hmm, which one sounds like more fun?
