you don't have to be rich to be my girl

Eeeeeeeee!! Just got this email from a good friend: So . . . How do you feel about "Auntie Alia"? :o) And I am SO super psyched for her! She is the first of my close friends to be pregnant, and besides being really happy for her and her husband, I'm also excited that I'll get to kind of experience it second-hand, see what she goes through, what her pregnancy is like, etc. I am so so curious about what pregnancy will be like for me, and I think it will be awesome to get to watch her go through it. YAY! :D

This week has been all kinds of crazy and hectic. This month in general is somewhat overwhelming at work, because there are lots of deadlines for things like class placements for next year, and annual reviews and the general craziness that usually accompanies this time of year. But on top of all that, two of my schools are ones I am covering for a woman who's on mat leave, and since she returns at the end of this month, I have been scrambling around like a madwoman trying to completely wrap things up at both of those schools before she gets back. It's been a lot of multitasking, and frantic scheduling, and running around from place to place, and not a lot of down time. It doesn't help that I've been busy after work this week too - book club on Monday, babysitting yesterday, trying to keep a mental list of the nine million errands I need to run tomorrow before I leave, etc. I'm actually looking forward to the bus ride down on Saturday, because it will mean I can just relax and do fun stuff for 10 hours or so.

I think I've mentioned this already, but here's my current plan for my time in Jersey. Kristian's picking me up from the bus station in Philly Saturday night, and we're going back to her house. Sunday we leave for Amish country, where she has planned out various fun activities for us, including eating at Shady Maple buffet and visiting Longwood Gardens. Monday afternoon/evening/sometime we'll come back to Jersey, and I will pick up Alison's car from her house, because she is so kindly letting me borrow it. Then, I assume I'll be driving back up to spend the night at Kristian's, but should probably double check that. Tuesday I'll head down to Philly to hang out with my sister during the day, and then Sarah in the evening after she gets off work. Sleeping over Sarah's, and early morning Glee on Wednesday before she goes to work. More hanging out with Kira during the day, then up to North Jersey to see Lauren, Dave, Georginia, and Brian for dinner. Wednesday night and Thursday are my mystery times right now - not sure where I'm staying Wednesday night or what I'm doing on Thursday. I do need to go to a social security office to change my name, and stop by the DMV to possibly renew my registration, so maybe Thursday's a good time to get those errands done? Still, that won't take all day, and I'm not sure what else I'll do. Anyway, Alison gets back into Philly around midnight that night, so I will pick her up from the airport and spend the night at her place. Friday I'll go into Philly to see Sarah for the afternoon, then back to South Jersey for a Pop Shop dinner with Jenn, Alison, Amy and respective significant others, followed by game night at Alison's. Spend the night there again, and then Saturday I catch the bus back home! So, busy week, but it will be fun, and I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone.

Ooookay, it's 10:18 now, and I need to make my lunch for tomorrow and possibly do some other little things before bed, so I'm off. Much love!
