God, that song was SO big when I was in high school. I'm a little ashamed that it's lurking in my itunes, haha.
Anyway. Onto today's meme.
Day One: Ten things you want to say to ten different people right now.
Day Two: Nine things about yourself.
Day Three: Eight ways to win your heart.
Day Four: Seven things that cross your mind a lot.
Day Five: Six things you wish you'd never done.
Day Six: Five people who mean a lot (in no order whatsoever).
Day Seven: Four turn offs.
Day Eight: Three turn ons.
Day Nine: Two smileys that describe your life right now.
Day Ten: One confession.
1. Arrogance. Oh my god, I can't tell you how much arrogance turns me off. Confidence? Hell yes. But arrogance? Noooo. If you think you are the shit and you act like it, chances are you're not even getting a conversation out of me, let alone getting into my pants. Ugh. You are not that cool, really.
2. Smoking. Instant turn off. A guy could otherwise be really attractive, but as soon as he puts a cigarette in his mouth? Nope, sorry.
3. Slovenliness. (Is that a word?) If you haven't bathed in a few days, your clothes have stains all over them, your ass crack is hanging out of your pants, etc., um yeah. I'm not into that, thanks.
4. Popped collars. It kind of goes along with number 1, but really it encompassess all of the stereotypical douchebag frat boy behavior, which ugh, didn't hold any appeal for me when I was in college and sure as hell won't get you anywhere now.
So, maybe I'll give you guys a little bit more substance than just the daily thing. Well, good news is that as of my most recent paycheck, I think we are finally up-to-date on most, if not all, of our bills, which is a huge relief. I had no idea it would take us so long to catch up after me not working for two months, but I think we're pretty much there. Just in time for me to miss a full paycheck because of winter break! :p However, I think we'll still be okay even without that paycheck, because December is one of those months where I'd actually get three paychecks (if not for winter break), so I'll still get two, which makes things much easier than trying to live off of one for a month. I should be able to go get my brake pads and rotors replaced for my car, because I know they've been worn down and getting low for um, about a year now, and I just haven't had the money to do anything about it till now. And maybe, just maybe, Brad and I might actually be able to buy presents for each other this year? Shocking, I know!
I'd also like to set aside some money out of one of my December paychecks to cover the costs of applying for Permanent Residency in Canada. I'm not ready to apply yet, but once I get all the paperwork and stuff together, I'd like to know that we have the funds there to cover it. In another couple weeks, I'll be able to apply for our marriage certificate, which means I can start the name change process, and I also need that for the PR application. I'd also like to get an Ontario driver's license as soon as possible, because my NJ one expires in January, and fuck if I'm going to NJ to pay to renew it just to turn around and pay to switch it for an Ontario one. No thank you. But in order to do that, I have to get my driver history and status from the NJ DMV, so I've already sent away for that. Sooo much paperwork involved in moving to a different country, for real!
Anyway, Brad is currently making us homemade mozarella sticks, which basically makes him the best husband ever, so I am going to go enjoy those and enjoy the rest of my weekend in which I do not have to run errands. :D
