i found a cure to growing older

So! Trip to Canada! Just got home yesterday, and I'm moving tomorrow, so I want to get this in before I get too busy and have to wait a week. Very glad I ended up coming home a day early, even though it was one of the longest and most uncomfortable drives ever, because I probably would've had a mental breakdown if I had to try to do all my packing immediately after being in the car for 9 or 10 hours.

Anyway, the trip was amazing. I had a great time with the boy and his daughter, and I'm really glad I went up there. We relaxed, we cooked good food, we snuggled. We went up to Owen Sound to visit Katrina and Brad's parents, and of course had lots of fun there. I give you

Katrina got sidewalk chalk for her birthday. :)

Would you believe Katrina took this picture??

We went to Sauble Beach one day and had fun in the cold cold water.

And for those who have ever wondered exactly what a partridge in a pear tree looks like:

There are plenty more pictures here that you are all more than welcome to check out. And look, you also get my second attempt at embedding video into an lj post!

Tell me she's not the most adorable child ever! (Also, please ignore the fact that my voice is really loud. It's hard not to be when I was holding the camera.)

In the "I'm 12" category of amusing anecdotes: The guest parking lot for Brad's apartment complex was under construction when I got there, so I parked in the shopping center lot instead. I even went to the management office of the apartment complex to ask if they had any designated guest parking during the construction, but they did not. The shopping center is pretty lax on ticketing, even though there are plenty of signs posted saying customer parking only. Well, one morning, after we'd left the car in the lot without moving it for two days, we come out to find a ticket on the windshield. I'm pissed, but I know it's my own fault, so whatever. However, later that day, I look at the ticket more closely, and notice that it lists the last 3 characters of my license plate as 69K. I'm thinking that I am 12, and I REALLY would have noticed before now if my license plate actually had 69 in it, because really, how could I not? In fact, my license plate does NOT have 69 in it; the last three characters are actually 63K! The ticket officer got my license plate wrong, which basically means I didn't have to pay the ticket! So I totally won and was highly amused in the process. :D

And finally, in other "I'm 12" news, a picture of something I found on the label of a bag of lactose free milk:

:D

Okay, there is more to tell, but I'm super tired and did I mention I'm moving tomorrow? More on that later. :D For now, enjoy the pics and video, and I promise I'll tell the rest of the stories when I can.
