I'm so close to getting a job I can already taste it!
Had an interview yesterday at this company called
PCIS where I'd be working on the campaign for their new division Boonbox, which sells technology solutions to businesses. They JUST released the product about 2 months ago and want to bring a writer on board to do marketing and web copy and write blogs and stuff.
So I have an assignment. I have to take the topic: "If You're Over 50, We Can't Let You Die" and write a blog entry about it. Due tomorrow. I feel like I'm in school cause I haven't started yet. I'll get it done tonight though. Ha.
Then I had another interview today with
King George International College and the guy LOVES me. He has all these ideas for things I could be doing around the company: writing and implementing the summer children's curriculum, teaching literature to a group of 16 year olds from Shanghai, teaching juniors, and then he said any other ideas I had as well. So I told him I wanted to teach yoga. Actually, I think it'd be a pretty fun position. It can only be temporary though cause I don't have a TEFL or CELTA certificate. But whatever... it'd be really fun, I think, and if I like it I guess I can always get one... though, I don't want to make a career out of teaching English.
Anyway... I have really good feeling about King George International College. More so than PCIS. It just seems more fun and the people seem younger and more vibrant and it seems like a more interesting place to work. The other company seemed a bit stuffy and dark and dreary and kind of a depressing place to work. Maybe that's why I don't have much energy for writing this blog entry. However, I'm still going to do it, but I have a feeling I won't get hired there anyway...
But I will get hired at King George... so I'm inches away from getting a job.
Which is good... cause it'll be nice to FINALLY climb out of this hole I've dug myself into recently. I'm almost free. Thank God.
Anyway... that's all for now... I'll let you know which job I take.
