so close I can taste it....
my first solo is ooo so close, so close I can almost taste it.
almost: the weather just won't cooperate.
I thought the solo might be today, as the winds were forecast for 270/7 but alas, by the time we flew to ZVL, the winds were 260/10G15 or maybe even as much as 15G20 (on the return flight, my GS was 138kts, wereas the my indicator showed 115kias, so tail wind aloft was over 20kts).
maybe Friday next. hope for good weather, and by that I mean: no snow, no rain, no windsheer, no mist, no fog, and maybe a gentle breeze of about 5kts, perferrably on a runway heading 80/160/260/340 magnetic. ha, who am I kidding? that never happens unless the plane is down for maintenance!
