*flails*

Now that I think about it, Jack spends a lot of the movie being a bit of a well-intentioned, poorly-informed, high-status idiot himself . . .

The impersonator handed Stephen a festive package and then, after ruffling the pundit's hair, disappeared back up the chimney.

Awwwww, Jack. ♥

"It was a dream! I was not ambushed by a ghoul in a Santa suit. Think about it, Jon; that just doesn't make sense."

Stephen chose to interpret the silence on the other end of the line as agreement, and hung up before reality could contradict him.

XD

Win and love.

I am honoured to have earned a flail *bows*

Shucks, I hadn't even thought of that! It provides good fodder for further crossovers, though. (Don't suppose I could tempt you? Yes? No?)

I wondered, after writing the bit about the ruffled hair, if it would stick out. Stephen's hair is always rock solid during shows and it mught be more in-character to suggest it is permanently shellacked. But I thought Jack would give it a go anyway :-D

Thanks for reading!

It gets messed up on occasion. Remember the time he pulled an all-nighter? It was all out of place and adorable after that =3

Don't suppose I could tempt you? Yes? No?

To play with Jack and Stephen some more? But I have so much stuff in progress and I don't have any ideas and hang on what if Stephen were a holiday so obviously he'd represent the Fourth of July and he would totally try to take someone else's over and this plot bunny has just moved into my head and plonked itself down like it owns the place.

(Jon would be something just as awesome but less flashy. Veterans Day? That goes along with his USO award, too. Now I'm going to have to work on what other correspondents can be holidayified...)

True, it does get messed up (usually to adorable effect). I just tend to over-think things a great deal. My thought process was as such:

It's the night before Christmas and Jon specifically said "Stephen, it's the middle of the night," which suggests after midnight. So Stephen was probably at midnight mass before coming home and switching on the news, and he would have fixed up his hair before heading to church. Thus why I thought it would be too styled to ruffle. But I guess I was thinking too much :-P

Ooh, I read your works-in-progress meme. I am impressed at the number of things you have going at once.

and I don't have any ideas and hang on what if...
:-D

Wow, that's a lot of thought. I routinely stay up way past midnight anyway, so I didn't even wonder about the timing ^_^;

(Not that overthinking is a bad thing, mind you! There lie the plot bunnies.)

Heh, thanks! I used to put WIPs on my desktop, so I had to finish them quickly or it would get cluttered. Now they have their own folder, and they've multiplied exponentially to fill the space.

So you see my reluctance to start another new thing . . . but at this rate I might end up finishing it in December, which would at least be timely =3

I do find that the details I get worried about don't even faze other people. I suppose it's better the way it is than the other way around ;-)

From the (rather selfish) point of view of a reader, I like that you've got a lot on the go! It gives me quite a lot to look forward to, even in the long-term. That being said, I understand your dilemma.

...so, full-fledged sequel is currently in limbo, but how about a comic in the meantime?
