7 Hurt/Comfort Avengers 100 Word Drabble Fics.

Clint was breathing hard. The pain was intense. He was kind of used to pain. It was part of his training. What he could not stand, however, was the thought of losing his ability to shoot.
“On the count of three, we’re going to do this,” Natasha said, taking a firm grip on his wrist.
Clint nodded and swallowed.
“One, two, three!”
Natasha yanked hard. Clint cried out. With an unpleasant popping and cracking sound, his shoulder joint slid back into place.
“Okay, how’s that feel?”
“Better, I think. Thanks.” Clint flexed his fingers and rubbed his shoulder. She smiled.

Tony winced as he limped towards the bathroom.
“How are you feeling?” Pepper asked.
“Sore. Everything hurts. Literally everything. I need a shower.”
“Literally everything?”
He could hear a smile in her voice, but he wasn’t in the mood. “Yes.”
Realizing he was serious, she helped him take off the clothes he wore under the suit. He remained unusually quiet. He did feel better after showering though, and after Pepper gently massaged anti-inflammatory cream into his bruises.
“How does it feel now?” she asked.
“Good, actually. What did I ever do without you?”
Pepper shrugged and snuggled in beside him.

Tony could hear Pepper’s coughing from the other side of the house. He hated it. It made him nervous when Pepper was sick. He had to practically lock her in the bedroom to stop her from going into work today. Jesus, she had a super high fever and she could barely stand. He knew she got no sleep last night for all the coughing. But still, she had wanted to go into the office. She was such a workaholic, he reflected as he brought her a bowl of soup. At least he had JARVIS to keep an eye on her.

It pained Steve to visit Peggy, but visit her he must. He still loved her, and he knew he always will. Her face always lit up when he walked into her room. He always brought her flowers. He would sit by her bed and hold her hand. Often, they would have the same conversation, or near enough, that they always had. Peggy never remembered that it was the same though. Sometimes she would forget that Steve was there, and then her face would light up again she saw him. It broke his heart to see her so old and frail.

Clint was there when Natasha woke from her night terror. She started screaming in the night. Clint got up from his bed and went over to hers. He didn’t know which horrible flashback she had dreamed about, and it really didn’t matter. He held her close until she stopped shaking. He stroked her hair and rubbed her back. He kissed her temple and forehead. Gradually, her heart rate slowed down. They lay in bed together, snuggling but not really. In the morning, when they moved on with their mission, they weren’t going to talk about this. They didn’t have to.

He was having that dream again. He remembers pain in his head. He remembers confusion and fear. And then there’s a face, one that’s friendly and familiar. Kind, concerned blue eyes. A smile. And then he’s up and moving, limping along, his arm around the shoulders of this man, his saviour. He remembers thinking that something’s not right, that this man is taller and broader than he used to be. He comments on that fact, and receives a reply that’s lost in the fog of his brain. When he wakes, the Winter Soldier feels a deep sadness he can’t explain.

The metal mask bites deeply into his skin, stilling his tongue. The shackles around his wrists and ankles are heavy. He’s waiting in the darkness of his cell - simulated night. He knows that sometimes they keep it bright in here for days. The Allfather is not above the psychological torture of his captives. Loki is wondering how long he will have to wait before the mockery that will be his trial when he sees her - his paramour. She has a kind face and a secret smile for him as she walks past his cell. He gives her a sly wink.
