Weeee! MOTU reveals!
Finally, Mattel's panel has come and gone! And now all of the details are out as to what is being released and it does look like someone ended up leaking the subscription by accident a few days before that panel. Oh Digital River, when will you ever be a competent company?
October: Icarius (AKA: Flipshot, 2 heads), Wind Raider (1st vehicle).
November: Snout Spout, Battle Ground Evil Lyn (Quarterly variant, basically 2002 inspired.)
December: Demo-Man (3 heads), Bubble Power She-Ra (Non sub-figure), Swift Wind (4th quarter beast, Filmation colors!)
January: Sorceress, Star Sisters (1st quarter beast/multi-pack).
February: Fisto (2 heads).
March: Kobra Kahn (2 heads), Thunder Punch He-Man (1st quarter variant with mini-comic!)
2012 exclusive: Shadow Weaver.
Non sub-figures every other month.
January: Fearless Photog (Original create-a-character contest winner back in the 80s, comes with 2nd head based on its creator)
March: Draego-Man (4 Horsemen character.)
Winner of the Create-a-Character contest gets his figure done last, entries must be post-marked December 31st. US residents only for entries but I'm sure there are ways around that if you're not looking for glory or recognition.
I'm very happy with the reveals, though a lot of fans are up in arms about Ram Man or Mekaneck not being available yet but they're not high on my priority list, so I'm very happy. It's a very solid line-up for my tastes.
Plus the mini-comics picks off where the last one ended, during the days of Preternia, though I'm worried that it will now use the MOTUC bios for what's going on in the past, instead of whatever might have originally ended up happening. But I'm very happy for mini-comics, I want new media instead of second heads!
