As much as I dislike Harper, I do have to agree on this one.

Everything else? Not so much. ;)

Even if I dislike Harper, I'll still like him more than Martin. I'll both dislike and like Harper depending on which stance, but I have very little feelings on Martin, who inspire next to nothing.

When he cuts the GST tax as opposed to doing something of more comprehensive consideration and result, like fixing the tax in a way that will benefit the poor family while simulating the industries...I have no idea how, but hey, that's not my job, XD! That, instead of a "use-for-all" instant solution he's going to have soon, then he'll raise my ire again.

For now, I want to vote for him. Even if I didn't the last two elections.

The whole GST thing is a real thorn in my side, actually. To cover the loss from the GST, the Conservative plan calls for raising the lowest income tax bracket from 15% to 16%. That's just not right, if you ask me.

While I have to say Harper is certainly the more inspiring leader, I'm nowhere near close to agreeing with him politically.

Short-sighted, or just doesn't care enough on that side?

Hopefully having the NDPs there will balance it out.

I didn't want the NDP to have majority, because they don't struck me as national enough, they'll be good for domestic issues though, especially provincial, Tommy Douglas? This is perfect, that they are there in the minority government.

Does this really say A RED BUTTON ISSUE???

Well thats just it right, i mean its not a red button issue, this is something that the majority of canadians probably never thought of before this moment. What he's doing is throwing his weight around to see how much support and therefore weight he has, to throw around.

"I prefer peace but to lose yet another piece of territory to the States is unacceptable, line's gotta be drawn somewhere."

haha yah sure buddy so we'll just draw a line, i dunno for now lets call it a "border" between us and the americans with our leaking diesel submarines 30 year old helicopters and the probably one missile we have and hope and pray that the americans don't take us seriously enough to actually get pissed off.

Spineless much? If we never do anything because we are always afraid of the Americans, suddenly I'm not surprise why lost all those territory all those years ago.

Considering the troubles US has been having, foreign and domestic, now is our opening, it doesn't have be a military show against them, our army is pretty pathetic right now in terms of equipment...but I am hoping that Harper can find someway to use this.

Such as having it on treaty that for now the Americans can sail through OUR waters, that, if done wrong, could give them more claims, but if we were to be vigilant, and have our ships patrol there in addition to that, it might just work.

Spineless much?

Thank you. We're our own fucking country - we shouldn't have to tiptoe around issues with OUR land just so Daddy doesn't get mad enough to spank us. Whatever. It's ours, and they need to respect that.
