On Thursday when Chris and I were out and about we stopped in at a Hallmark to look at this year's ornaments. I'd like to start a series this year for Tyler and there are 4 series starting. I can't decide between these two:
This one will feature a character/scene from Mickey's Christmas Carol each year.
And this one will feature Santa with an animal friend. Thoughts?
I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I'm meeting with my book club to see Julie and Julia. I picked up the book yesterday and will start it after the movie. Tyler will stay with Chris (hopefully). Chris has to work but should be able to be home during the movie which is at 1:30. I've been working on a bottle for him today. I was going to get up during the night to pump but felt sleep was a much better option. I'm not a productive pumper but pumping during the night is faster than what I've been doing today, which is pumping after his feedings. Depending on how things look with his bottle before I go to bed I'll have to wake up during the night to finish it. That's ok, it makes me less full in the morning. It can get rather uncomfortable. I could use one of the frozen feedings but I am around the house today so I might as well pump.
Chris and I have enjoyed the last couple days. Mainly we've been going out around here to do little shopping trips. Tyler and I are now getting recognized in Borders where I'm known as the lady with the baby necklace. He had Thursday and Friday off. He is working this weekend so it is just Tyler and me. Today we went to the organic market so I could get some tea and then to Starbuck's. That's probably all that we'll do since he is napping now.
Tyler is 15 weeks old today and 13.6 pounds. His weight isn't exact as I used the oh-so-accurate weigh myself then weigh us together method. It seems like in the last few weeks he has gotten incredibly huge really fast. He now has chunky thighs and a double chin. Only babies can be proud of those things! He can support his weight on his legs and is always wanting to stand. He sits (supported) very well. He is starting to reach for things. Mainly my face or hands but he's becoming more interested in other things. Today he spotted himself in the mirror and really gave himself a good look. He was a lot more interested in me though.
I need to start getting us packed for our trip to Chicago but I'm not sure what clothes he'll fit in and I'll need a better idea of the weather. This will be his first experience with cooler weather since fall is hitting Chicago earlier than it is hitting us. It is still quite warm here. I need to buy clothes for myself since I don't have anything to wear. I finally ran out to Old Navy and bought a couple pairs of jeans but they need to be hemmed. I have a lot of weight to lose even though I'm near my pre-pregnancy weight. I'm looking forward to cooler weather and getting out to walk more. Lisa has big plans for us to walk and that will be great.
