Valentine's Weekend

Feb 15, 2009 00:08

Chris had the day off on Friday. Around lunch time he headed off to Baltimore to a comic book store where the lead singer of a band he likes (Coheed and Cambria) was signing the comics he wrote. He wasn't home for long before he headed off to the Co&Ca/Slipknot concert that evening. In between I ran out to Petsmart and also to the commissary where I picked up goodies for today. I had a quiet evening and was just heading to bed when Chris got home around midnight. We both fell asleep quickly.
This morning I found out Chris fell on his hand while in the pit at the concert. It was pretty swollen this morning and he could hardly close it. He's been alternating between heat and ice all day and the swelling in the hand has gone down but seems to be increasing in his wrist although it isn't tender there. In fact he's able to move it a lot more now and has a lot less pain.
We've had a very nice Valentine's Day but will continue celebrating tomorrow. I didn't want to battle the crowds and rushed service at restaurants today so we had a "Sunday". Our first Sunday we ever spent together was in Korea and we just laid in bed all day, ate pizza, and cuddled. Since we moved in together in 2003 "Sundays" mean that we hide from the world, stay in PJs, nap, watch movies, eat pizza.
We slept in a bit this morning. When we were both up and had talked to our families I started breakfast (bacon and eggs). After we ate we watched a bit of TV and then put on Made of Honor while we munched on fresh baked cookies. Then we headed to bed for a bit, napped a wee bit. Chris went to pick up the pizza (our new place doesn't deliver), and we watched Penelope followed by Gross Point Blank. Before bed we watched Hannibal Rising, not exactly a romantic movie although there is a love story in it.
We're in bed now. Tomorrow we're going out to see a movie. I know Chris made reservations somewhere for dinner but I don't know where. We'll probably finish up the evening watching our last DVD we got, The Lover. Oh, and we decided not to exchange gifts this year but each of us got the other a card and chocolate. I've eaten way too much today!
