Happy Valentine's Day
I'm having a very nice Valentine's Day so far. I admit I love Valentine's Day and I refuse to be miserable because I am alone, I know I am loved and that makes me happy. Chris called me at 7:30am to be "with" me when I opened my gifts from him. He sent me the hardcover Love in The Time of Cholera and the complete Buffy The Vampire Slayer series (the chosen collection) . Great gifts!
I sent Chris a book he's been wanting and some goodies. I also sent him a musical card that played our song and I guess it caught him off guard. He opens his packages at the office since he spends about 90% of his waking time there and can never wait until he is back in his room. Hubby wasn't expecting a musical card and I guess it made him blush.
After my chat with Hubby I went to the base and met my FRG leader there. Yesterday we were sorting stuff for the soldiers staying in the barracks when they get back. We have 51 soldiers to get rooms ready for and we have a bunch of toiletries that have been donated but we needed to sort, count, and re-box it all. I've spent the past 2 mornings doing that but we are finally done.
I picked up lunch on my way home and was surprised to find a FedEx tag on my door. After I ate I met Chris online for our date and mentioned it to him. He says he knows what it is but won't tell me who it is from. I'm guessing it is from him. I asked if I should wait for the re-delivery tomorrow or go out to Temple and pick it up this evening. He thinks I should go tonight so I will humor him and make the trip. I'm not doing anything else today and I am pretty curious.
Tuesday I taught, it went well. Chris was able to reach me just after I turned my phone back on while I was still at school. I ran home while my kids were in Music because I was worried about Sofie not pooping much the past couple of days. But she was fine. Tuesday evening was my FRG meeting where I got a Yankee candle and a certificate for volunteer of the month for December. I'll likely get it again for February since I have been working my tail off this month.
Yesterday I finished my book club book in the afternoon and drove out to Sabrina's for the meeting. The two other members flaked on the meeting so it was just the two of us. Her husband picked us up Chinese food for dinner, we chatted about the book and then watched the movie that was based on it. The movie is quite different from the book but very good too. Chris called on my way home so I was able to chat with him and not get bored on the drive.
I'm off to go chill for a bit. I need to get directions to FedEx and I'll be heading out later on. I'm just going to enjoy some peace and the nice day.
