Unlocked update for a change
So, now that the weather is a bit dryer, we get to play outside. And by play, I mean rake for several hours. Much nicer than the morning work inside, which was trying to get the dining room sorted out before we have guests for dinner tonight (the boy doesn't seem to know that I can't read his mind when we're sorting stuff), and loading the dishwasher, and cleaning as many dishes as I had patience for. I will not clean ashtrays. 'Nuff said. Well almost enough. I found out today why mum always bought the brand name steel wool scrubbies. The store brand are crap.
We started our new compost pile. On Monday, we'll be sifting the old one and getting some sweet, nutrient-rich soil to add to our potato field, which is currently all clay and rock. Sunday is our day off this week, so that we can visit families down south for their holiday. Sadly, even though I got very little done while the boy was down south for work, I'm really ready for a rest day tomorrow.
