A post of things

Did I mention I was doing another return to work trial? I can't remember. Anyway, it's over and it didn't work. Then I found out that insurance had basically decided my diagnosis of CFS was unimportant and had been treating me strictly as a depression case. Needless to say, I lost it. Big time. Long story short, insurance got their shit together, actually spoke to my doctors and now I'm on extended Long-term leave. It only took then four years.

My body has decided that I don't have enough on my plate, what with the stress and the depression and the Chronic fatigue Syndrome and the OCD and the anxiety. No. Not enough. What I needed? A period that won't end. It's been almost four weeks. FOUR WEEKS. So I have an ultrasound next week and more blood tests to get done and a prescription iron supplement and occasionally, it feels like I'm bleeding to death. Today is one of those days and I won't go into detail, but MY GOD.

Firstly, Smallville Season 11 comic OMG! I am giddy thus far and sooo happy with the way things are shaping up and TESS. The two week gap is like a cruel tease, but I'll get over it. MY SHOW/COMIC LIVES.

There's also this movie out right now. You may have heard of it, it's called The Avengers. Just a little summer movie fare, nothing special. Except for the fact that it is AWESOMENESS ON A SILVER PLATTER. I've never been and will probably never really be a comic reader (above blurb aside), but damn, Marvel knows how to make a movie. And it's really fucking annoying for someone who identifies more as a DC fan, because DC just cannot keep up. They can't. Yes, the current Batman series is good, but they are also as depressing as a sack of drowned kittens. I have hopes for Man of Steel, but I don't expect it to be anywhere hear as entertaining as The Avengers, as Supes is more of a dramatically centred story than an action-filled one. And after that? We're getting Green Fucking Lantern 2. Because the first one did so well.

At this point, I think I just need to accept that DC simply doesn't care to try and compete with Marvel cinematically anymore, because it's clear they're not. But it makes me sad because there are so many DC characters who could be just as awesome and entertaining as any of the Avengers were individually and I'm never going to get to see it.

god why smallville, fandom? what fandom, medical crap, real life stuff, i like some entertainment
