I have been tagged twice for this meme so I'd better do it! If you don't already know, I warn you that my musical tastes tend to be less than current and eclectic.
Dream On - Kelly Sweet: Cover of the Aerosmith song, but done really differently; very soft, quiet with lots of harmony. I've actually become addicted to Kelly's entire CD. If you like lighter pop-almost-adult-contemporary-but-sung-by-younger-people, I highly recommend it. She's got a beautiful voice.
Second Wind - Tracy Bonham: I loved this song when this CD first came out, and I popped it in again recently to discover I still love it. Slow, short and gorgeous.
O Come, O Come Emmanuel - Kendall Payne: Hauntingly beautiful. Enya's version is almost on par for me, but Kendall's is just lovely.
Keeps Gettin' Better - Christina Aguilera: Oh, Christina. I'm a sucker for girls who can sing, and Xtina certainly fits the bill.
Love is a Battlefield - Jann Arden: Another cover, this one of the Pat Benetar variety. If you ever wanted to know what this song sounded like as a ballad, it works pretty damn well.
I Kissed a Girl - Katy Perry: So someone made a hysterical SV fanvid to this, and I haven't been able to get the song out of my head since.
Elle Avance - Marie-Mai: French pop! What's not to like?
Overcome - Within Temptation: Because I'm still not out of my worship stage for this band yet.
I Understand - Sofia Loell: Stumbled on this by accident, and loved it. Slow and sweet.
Weak in the Knees - Serena Ryder: A favourite for over a year now. Awesome new Canadian talent.
