(no subject)
So it is with great relief that we finally finished recording the album yesterday--though odds are we won't even use the stuff we did yesterday, except as bonus tracks. I dragged my hungover self into the studio to scream my way through a version of "Don't Do Me Like That" by Tom Petty, and then we put the finishing touches on this soft-rock tune that doesn't really fit with anything else on the album so we might cut it. But we'll wait until we get the mixes back before making a decision.
The upshot is that for the first time in ages, I have no plans for any evening this week until the big shindig on Friday!
Weekend was good--though probably not as good as it was for those people in that orgy that Alex stumbled into. Coupled with the basement BJ at the last Postmod, I'm beginning to think Toronto is becoming Sex City, Canada. Look out, Montreal! But yeah, went to a house party (with a bonfire!) on Friday night and then another Saturday, before stumbling on down to Blow-Up--which wasn't as good as last time, but I still enjoyed it. I was very drunk, though, so my memories are a tad hazy.
So hopefully it'll be a decent week at work and I'll find something to do in the evenings, and just generally recuperate.
