These things are the worst computers ever. I think I'd rather use a Speak-n-Spell. Anyway...
So another recording session last night, which went relatively well, except when it came time to figure out how much mixing is gonna cost us...eep. The gist of it: even if we sell all 500 copies of this album, we'll still lose money. How very Factory Records. So we need to achieve U2-size success very quickly, I think.
I'm also frustrated by how long this thing is taking. I wanted this to be a real live-sounding album and instead it's become something rather pristine...not cold, by a long shot, but definitely more produced than I anticipated. I'm sure it'll sound great, but man, recording is PAINFUL. And that's not even counting the fighting over band-photo concepts and album covers and the band's name and why we should do Person X's favourite song of the week onstage. And considering I've never once gotten a groupie, it makes me wonder why I bother...of course, then I hear something like "Gene Clark" by Teenage Fanclub and remember why I care about music despite the best attempts of 20hz to ruin it for me...
Canada vs. Slovakia tonight. Hockey: my other true love.
