Aeryn's attempting to study. She really is. There's one class that's going to kill her, and she's rather not flunk the final right before graduation. Unfortunately, things aren't sticking in her head- if they ever get there to begin with- and occasionally she needs to get up and do something like wash dishes before going back to studying. Molly knocked on the door.

And wow, that book got tossed aside pretty quickly. Aeryn gets up to open the door, greeting Molly with "Hi."

"Hi, Aeryn!" Molly said cheerfully. "Did you know Anakin was an idiot?"

"I'm vaguely aware," she says, opening the door wider for her. "Why this time?"

Molly walked in ans plopped onto the couch. "Did you here about our daughter?" she asked.

"Not specifically," she says, and that's a mental image she can't quite handle.

[bruiser_in_pink]

"Okay, in some other reality, Anakin and I get married and have a daughter. Weird, I know, but it's true," Molly said. "So, I told him on Friday that I could tell that he was a good father and he was all, 'Woe! I'll never be a father! I'm too messed up to let anyone love me!'" She'd leaned back on the couch, put her hand to her forehead and used an extra woeful voice.

She dropped her hands and rolled her eyes. "I came really close to hitting him."

"I heard a bit of that, too," she says, sighing. "He needs to be shaken. Hard. And often."

"I don't understand him at all," Molly went on. "He's got a second chance and he just wants to wallow in guilt."

She hmph-ed and then looked up at Aeryn. "If you want me to shake him every day, I will."

"Okay," she agrees easily. "I think he'll be doing that for a while. I think he kind of likes sulking. He is very good at it."

"We will poke him to make him stop," Molly decided with a nod.

Aeryn laughs a little at that. "Do you really think poking him will work?"

[bruiser_in_pink]

Molly shrugged. "Maybe it would annoy him enough that he wouldn't wallow."

Wow does she sound like Rory. Which would be why Aeryn says, "What kind of stick would you recommend?"

Molly snorted and grinned. "A long one."

[can_be_more]

"And probably several," she says. "He likes to be very intently stubborn."
