ooc: fandom vs. the real world class info
About the class
Fandom vs. The Real World is a class about all the things (well, almost all the things) you should know about Fandom, whether you're an oldbie, a newbie, from this world or not, and how it actually relates (or doesn't) to the real world. Besides a discussion where everyone will be able to get a chance to ask questions or share what they know or don't know about the subject, most every class will have an activity to understand the subject better. Like I said in my info post, I'm on PST and gone through most of the day, so discussions between class members is win.
While I have plenty of topics (yes, there is a class on Christmas, don't worry), I do want to open up for suggestions. For instance, after two years in Fandom, I have a girl who has NO IDEA what glitter means and it's somehow just never come up. If there's anything you can think of that you would like to see covered, please drop a comment here. I don't guarantee anything will make it in, but I'll see what I can do.
Aeryn as a teacher
Aeryn is a pretty fair and honest teacher, but she's easily frustrated and there's a limit to what she'll put up with. Which means basically if you want a detention, just let me know and you'll get one. Verbal arguments not about the class discussion will get you yelled at, physical fighting or talking back to her will most definitely earn you detention.
Disruptions in class will be handled on a case by case basis, depending on the situation. I totally reserve the right to be able to ping you if your kid's doing something that will get them in trouble, cuz that's how I roll.
Wanna be a TA?
Aeryn will be looking for one, yes. If you want the job, just drop me a line at fall.in.two@gmail.com since I'll be gone all day.
