My life pursuit is to be Jesus (or as close as I can possibly be) to the people I meet for the sole purpose to hear him tell me I have done well and give me a great big mighty hug when I meet him in heaven.
My life pursuit is to seek God and be able to hear his heartbeat and understand his sorrows as he views this world and the people he had created so I can see people and this world through the eyes of Jesus and reach out to them, serving as a bridge to bring them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and the free gift of salvation he offers.
What is your life pursuit?
I may sound super righteous but it really is the thing I desire most and I have come to recognise this great need within for affirmation. To be able to know that God is proud of me and approves of the way I responded and handled situations and managed people with genuine care and concern, is something that I have been articulating in my prayers.
In order to accomplish it, I constantly seek wisdom to manage people, sensitivity to the Holy Spirit to handle situations, guidance on the direction to take, and discernment to know what God would have me do so he will be pleased.
Going through life is a journey that can be painful as we develop in age, knowledge, and character. It really is a much greater challenge without Jesus. Having the knowledge that this will all lead to an eternal purpose brings comfort that there will be relief, satisfaction, and joy.
However, it really has been a difficult journey so far. I can't quite see your purpose at times, God. Please help me to continue trusting in your goodness. This has taught me to be totally reliant and completely dependent on you and as a result has drawn me so much closer to you as I reach new depths and heights of understanding you and recognising your sovereignty as you orchestrate my life and everything else.
