World Vision 30 Hour Famine Camp

May 23, 2010 01:33

The excitement is killing me. I feel like I'm gonna explode and shout out to the world! But I can't spill the beans, and so I have to speak in riddles here.

After today's pre-camp, I am extremely excited about the whole event. The 30 Hour Famine never fails to get me all hyped up. Together with the rest of the volunteers, we had a gruelling 8 hours of absolute fun and experience. I got to know some really amazing people. You guys, you are SO gonna make the camp a success, from the whole program schedule, facilitation, instruction handling, camper engagement, EVERYTHING! Simply because you are dedicated to the cause. Hearing your sharing, it moved me. While they may be your individual experience, but it enforces the fact that THERE IS HOPE! Humanity is not beyond redemption because there are still those who care, and when they put their concerns into tangible actions, it becomes a powerful force that cannot be stopped. You are all such a key integrator of this whole camp, piecing it together for the campers to understand, similarly like how someone else guided and assisted you on your journey. And yet, speaking your heart feelings of your experiences can still be such an awesome medium of transmitting that same passion.

I cannot wait for the 30 hour famine. I want to see and do, and make a difference to more! You can make dreams come true. Support my cause for the kids and make your pledge NOW!

Once the camp is over, details will be posted!
