Who is lying and who is in bad faith?

It appears to me that the whole question is non-existent when he mentions that in bad faith we have a comprehension of the act of lying to ourselves.  If that is the case, how do we define bad faith?

I also don't think that the example of the women on the date with the man is a god example.  The waiter example is fair, but that is something different he is trying to propose.  Actually, the waiter portion of his work goes completely off-the-wall with his philosophical assumptions.
