Okay guys, I know this is waaaay overdue and some of you may even think it’s unnecessary - but some people have asked me about my experiences, so I thought ‘What the hell’ and wrote this small report about Monday, April 5th and Tuesday, April 6th, our last days in Rome.
Monday
Since we’ve been up late at the bar we all were pretty knocked out on the next morning and so we slept a little longer than usually. We also thought that since the convention was over, we would have no problems, getting into the normal breakfast lounge - well, guess again -_-
The lady at the counter sent us into the Fan-Area once again and that’s where my patience snapped. We went to the reception and I explained our situation to an employee, who was very helpful. I think Alejandro was his name?! I dunno… anyway, he assured me that we won’t have to pay extra for the breakfast in the lounge and then called the lady at the counter to tell her, she should let us through. So for Monday and Tuesday our wonderful breakfast was saved - thanks to me and my temper XD
Well, after a very delightful meal we met Krista at the lift and then got outside. It was very windy but not too cold and a little bit sunny, too. So we waited for the shuttle bus to Rome and got in first. We got in the back, where we could all sit next to each other and waited for the other guests to get on. Few minutes before the bus should take off, I looked outside the window and my jaw dropped - it was Richard and his sister, who were both approaching the bus O_O Of course I told Becky immediately and we were all like OMG XD
Wheeee, Richard is sitting right in front of uuuuus <3
They got in and walked… and walked… and sat just two seats before us. We greeted them and Becky and Rich had a little conversation (really dunno what they talked about, sry). Rest of the drive he talked to a French girl, but we could still listen to them and take secret (haha) paparazzi pictures :P
Later we realized, that Traci too was on our bus (OMGYAY!!) and we couldn’t stop grinning because of that ;)
When we got off at the bus stop in Rome City we first didn’t know where to go… we had a map but no one could really read it and we were all staring at Richard… but we didn’t want to follow them, so we turned around and headed in the opposite direction.
Best - Bus - EVER!!!
So our first stop was - the Coliseum!! Wow, lucky us XD We took some pictures and walked around it but didn’t get in, cause Alan told me, that it’d be not worth the money… we then proceeded to Trevi Fountain and the spanish steps, rested there for a few minutes and ate original Italian ice cream (which was delicious <3). Later we went to the Castel Sant’Angelo (and yeah, I just read "Castiel" instead of Castel again...) and then it started raining… we avoided the umbrella-sellers and waited under a tree for the rain to stop. After some minutes the rain ended and we proceeded to the Vatican - we just saw it from behind and were kinda tired and our feet hurt. So we turned round and made our way back to the bus stop.
We then stopped at a small bistro to have original Italian pasta - but the place was a complete fail -_- The pasta was… ugh… just awful!! It tasted worse than maggi stuff o_O And it was like 8 tortellini with some sauce for about… I dunno… 9 €?! Bah… anyway… because of this we missed our bus back to the hotel -_- The next should depart in 2 hours… so we took a taxi back… well… it sucked but what can one do ;) ?!
At the evening we went to the bar one last time and met Holly, Krista, Pada and Nurple there. We had some drinks, traded photos and laughed our asses off. Later we were the only ones left at the bar and this one Indian barkeeper guy kept bringing us free food and stuff o_O We had about 3 bowls of french fries, some shrimps, sandwiches and more… it was amazing XD Then Krista had the idea we should do as Richard told us and order Purpe Nurples. So Krista got the receipt on the internet and we asked Shedan (I think that was his name…) - and he mixed us six shots!! I didn’t take one, cause I’m an anti-alcoholic, as you might know ^^
Cheers girls | Krista, me and Becky comparing our skin colors XD
We stayed there until deep in the night, listened to Glee and sang to it (Holly and me at least ^^), watched the infamous Chippendale video on Youtube and had so much fun!
Unfortunately we only said goodbye to Holly, cause we thought we’d meet Krista the next day again but we sadly didn’t :(
Anyway… we really had the most awesome last evening ever and it rocked my world!!!
Tuesday
Yeah well… on Tuesday nothing really interesting happened… we got up, dressed, packed and got down and had breakfast - just one thing happened, which made us go WTF once again - we sat at the breakfast lounge and ate. And suddenly Jim Beaver walked past us and said “Good Morning” O_O
‘Course we were a liiiittle confused but we greeted him back and had a little conversation with him. Then he smiled and wished us a nice rest of the day and a safe trip. Just… wow!? That guy, srsly <3
We then checked out and said goodbye to everyone who was leaving before us and then sat in the lounge, waiting for the time our flight would take off. Things at the airport were quite stressful and I think we all got on our nerves at this point XD Gosh, we were such bitches!! But hey, we managed to get along for the whole weekend, I think that’s pretty impressive ;) And we love each other still, even if we bitched around a bit at the airport ^^
We said goodbye to typo at Frankfurt and shadow and me travelled back to Mannheim together and then said goodbye, too…
When I was sitting at the tram back to my place I was looking at my photo ops non-stop and I think everyone thought I was either mad or stupid XD I just couldn’t stop grinning and even had tears in my eyes, remembering all the awesomeness I experienced…
