I'm gonna try to make this entry as non-emo as possible.
Ivy moved out yesterday, with little to no warning.
He had been getting several job offers, none of which were anything remotely close to here. The one that he decided to take (and from what appears to be the closest in proximity option) was managing some property for his mom's company in Detroit.
Originally, yesterday morning, he said he was just going to move a few things to his mom's, for storage purposes (cosplay stuff mostly. The Nemesis costume and Hunk-in-a-Box). He wasn't going to officially leave for a couple more days, until he had to go back to work. He talked to his mom yesterday afternoon, and she told him he was needed this weekend. So, he made the decision to just go to his mom's last night. He's going to crash there for a few days, until he gets the house (the one she found for him is someplace off I-94 in Detroit. He said it's about a 15-20 minute drive from here). He promised me that when he gets everything settled at the house, I can go spend a couple days there.
I'm not going to lie, I cried. A lot. I know he's only been here a month, and hell, a good chunk of that time was spent away as it is. But I got so used to him being here, and even when he wasn't, seeing his stuff all over the apartment made me feel better and reminded me he WAS coming home.
He did leave a couple things behind, both on purpose and on accident, lol. What I assume was on accident, I put in a box and set on the shelf in my room (his clothes were on it, but I'm going to put some of my special books and dolls on it). He left some of the cosplay stuff, his cookbooks, and the kitchen stuff he brought on purpose. As well as the food he bought while he was here (said he wanted stuff he'd like to eat when he comes back to visit). He's got to come back soon to pick up some of the computer parts (everything but the tower), to try and trick his mom into thinking he completely returned the computer he "borrowed" while he was here, and I said he can have my Gamecube, since I don't play it anymore. I even let him keep my key, just so he can know that he's always welcome here.
I just need to keep reminding myself, this is what's best for us in the long run.
