On which I squee about an old Hockey game
So, I have some old Hockey games on my DVR. I had recorded a bunch and I guess I just never ended up watching this one. (I erased the others. I AM FILLED WITH REGRET.) It's from March 7th, Pens vs Leafs. The DVR actually tells me the final score, but I DON'T CARE. FU DVR.
So, Blysma doesn't have an interview at the end of the 1st period because he lost his voice. OMG. Pierre is going to interview Sid after the 2nd period which makes me giggle like mad. This is actually before he returned to playing so this might be interesting. I'm just going to liveblog now.
1st period: Fierce play and no score. Malkin is amazing. Just wow. Staal is playing beautifully. Kessellllllllll I know I shouldn't like him, but he's Kessel. I like him sort of. Holy shit, Malkin is insane and so fucking good. But he got a penalty with 1 minute four. (BOOOOOOOO) He high sticked, I know. But still Boooooo. C'mon Jordan! And Matt Cooke just took a stick to his face so it will be 4 on 4 for the 2nd.
Break: Milbury didn't make me want to scream. Wow. But then again, he's not getting into it with Fucking JR either so that might be it. (I really hate JR. REALLY HATE HIM.)

2nd Period: I love that Liles is in the box and visibly bitching. That cracks me up. GO Jordy! And.... you got a penalty. Damnit. Mario!! This is just after the bronze statue was put up and good god, he's tall as hell. Oh Damn, damn, damn! Kessel got a goal. And Malkin is back! Oh Mario, you are awesome. (A side note: I wonder what he's thinking about this lockout). Pierre, you are fanboying again. AH. GOD DAMN IT. Toronto scores again. But the interview with Mario was good. (Ehehehe, sorry. I really like Malkin and Jordy.) Things are getting nasty now. YESSSSSSSS DUPUIS JUST SCORED! Someone lost their stick. I love it when that happens. I don't know why. I just do. This is Carlyle's first game as coach. He's interesting. You guys can judge all you like, but the Leafs are honestly doing really fucking good in this game. This is definitely a must win game for the Leafs and they're playing like it. I love that they're talking about San Jose and their coach's concussion for a bit here. LOL.
Break: Sidney is going to give an interview!!! He looks good but awkward. I know that's his thing, but... I'm just not as deeply into the Pens. So, that's likely normal? Pierre, you are such a creeper. Fuck. I now know how Sidney pronounces Geno so that helps.

3rd Period: Again, fierce start. They are really playing hard. AND STAAL SCORES!! YES!! Not too much later and Dupuis scores again!!! It's 3 to 2 now! Oh God, it slid in just barely. Oh Neal. Nice non-fight, guy. UGH, Offside. Jordy! Good lord, his beard is bad. Love him, but no. Just no. Oh C'mon! You're better than this! Fuck that was close. They are just tearing things up. Wow. Hi Brian Burke! And they knock the net off the moorings! So, it's close to Malkin's 500th goal. I think he's at 499 at this point? Ugh, Pens just got penalty for grabbing. OH DAMN, THAT IS CLOSE. FUCK. Another offside. I hate offsides. HATE. Thiessen is doing really, really well. Wow. Another offside! Blergh. They pulled the Leafs goalie. O.O WHY DID THEY DO THAT? It's fascinating to hear them talk about the playoff seeds considering what happened.
