"I just don't know how to please you anymore," Evan told David, taking a seat next to him.
David looked at him and sighed. "It's not that you don't 'please' me or whatever... You just don't seem to listen to what I have to say."
"Like you listen to me? I have to bend over backwards to get you to hear anything I say!" Evan said defensively.
David scowled darkly at him. "Oh yes. Because it's all about you. Never mind the other people in this relationship."
"We should just stop pretending."
"Yeah. We really should."
"I'll get you reassigned. Cadman's needing a scientist."
"You don't have to oust Alison for me, Major. I think I should stay in the labs. I'm not McKay. I can't be gallivanting across the Galaxy every time you have a mission," Evan told him coolly.
"Fine with me. I could really care less," Evan told him, standing up. "I guess this is it."
"Looks that way."
"See you some other time then."
"Guess so."
Evan left the table as David watched him go, starting to tremble as he held it in.
