David didn’t usually do this; sure it was a good cause, but really, it was just so crass. He’d managed to avoid the whole thing before Atlantis but now he’s back at Area 51. He had planned on ignoring the whole thing, but then Evan bought it up.
If Evan thought for one minute that David was going to just stand there and watch his lover sold in a charity slave auction, to somebody else, then clearly Evan had another think coming.
David calmly stood to one side while Evan grinned and sashayed his way across the stage, he was wearing his well worn blue jeans and the purple shirt that David had given him. Evan was waving and blowing kisses at the horde of women near the front.
The Bidding was rapid at first, and David held his tongue, they slowed at $300 and Evan undid the top button of his shirt to encourage another burst of bids. At $420 the auctioneer held his hammer and called for last bids. David took one quick glance at three chemists with their heads together and handfuls of cash, clearly pooling their resources.
“One Thousand” He called clearly. The room hushed and people turned to stare at him. He shrugged.
The auctioneer paused and then bought down his gavel with a loud bang.
“Sold!”
Evan left the stage still smiling and weaved his way over to David.
“Master?” Evan raised his eyebrows in question.
“I’m sure I can find something for you to do.” David told him.
(A/N: Clearly Evan is worth more than $1000, but scientists are notorius cheapskates)
