Well I got home from CCC today and like always, it was an amazing experience. It just revitalizes my faith soo much. For those who don't know, Carolina Cross Connection is a program that has 6 camps across the state, mostly in the moutains. Its a camp for youth from 8th grade to seniors. We go for a week, split up into groups with 5-6 people we dont know and spend 5 days doing small missions work for needy people in the area. It might sound a little crazy to go spend a week in the woods and work all week with people you dont know, but it is just so amazing. I think it is so incredible how close you can grow to people over the course of a week, and how much you can change one persons life just by going and painting their porch, or washing their windows, and just sitting and talking with them. I saw God in so many people this week, and just looking out at those mountains, I dont know how anyone could believe that anything other than a heavenly being could create such beauty. Don't get me wrong though...the week is definitely not all work and seriousness. I met a lot of awesome people and had some crazy times...being gangstas, pimpin out the armada, "I got a disease", "oh jeez", the sexist catholics in my cmg, spricket killing in the 3/4s of a cabin, the girls screaming bloody murder, the list goes on...
Anyway, I'm super tired so I'm probably gonna head to bed here soon. I got my schedule today and I dont have a single day off this week. The first possible day off would be next monday, but I dont have my schedule that far in advance so who knows. Lets just say its gonna be a long week. Well, I'm out - goodnight everyone
