Yeah, really should have figured that out. I mean, what else were they going to do with it?

My question is, of course, was it really the last Baal clone? Or, which was tagged by the locator beacon? Host or symbiote? Cos I'm betting host, which means there are poosibly clone symbiotes if not hosts and then... yeah.

You just KNOW Ba'al had a backup plan in the event all the locator beacons were discovered.

What's to stop him from using a stasis chamber for a reserve clone/original just like Anubis did for Khalek in 9x09 "Prototype"?

I think he had numerous backup plans, because he's not stupid (though how he got caught by the Tok'ra, IDK).

Thinking about it - the Paradox Machine was only destroyed in the changed timeline, so since Cam allegedly killed the original Baal back in... whenever it was, then surely it's still somewhere in the original timeline.

My head just exploded from the wibbly-wobbly timey-wimeyness of that idea. THANKS A LOT. ;D

It's not wibbly-wobbly at all. Baal used the Paradox Machine to go back in time. AU was that he changed the timeline, other AU is cam shot him dead. Regardless of outcome, the machine is still wherever the hell he stored it! (More so in the changed timeline, since Qetesh was removed from Vala and therefore not around to destroy it).

This is why SG writers shouldn't write time travel episodes - I find the holes!

Exactly (God, I love talking to people that understand the theory!)

What do you want me to write? I was planning on playing more with Elias, but am open to suggestions.

Oh jeez, backstory for the host!

And backstory for the abduction of Vala so that she's host to Qetesh for 50 years!

That is, if flashbacks would work with your initial idea for the story.

*neeps*

Okay, I'll see what I can do. I really need a plan for this BB, since I've no idea what is actually going to happen.

OMG I totally didn't even think of that! Amazing. That machine is somewhere out there waiting to be found and misused.

Thank you for the explanation.

ALSO, BA'AL IS NOT DEAD. HE'S TOO COOL FOR THAT. I MEAN... LOOK AT HIM :D

The continued existence of the Paradox Machine (and I really ought to stop calling it that, lol) was something that only occured to me as I was writing. One of those "OMG!" moments I have with alarming frequency.

And yes. He is too cool, too clever, too convining.

And Cliff Simon is the only person I know that can make standing up so freaking sexy *watches gif a few bazzion times*
