Er, what did I do wrong? Canon too big? Maybe I should've mentioned that I wrote the canon big so that I wouldn't have to explain my entire canon a second time.

Or was I just too "out there" with my App? I think I might've made it a bit... too unique?

Canon much, much too big. A general idea of the show and character in about a fifth of the words you used (or less?) would have been ideal XD; The sample entry could have used a little trimming too.

I still read through everything, though, and...yeah, nothing in the app stood out to me or gave me a laugh, and it tended to ramble on a lot. Sorry!

I'm just not exactly sure how I *can* explain even a small part of the show in about a fifth of the space, but I suppose I can try. ... And the sample entry *was* trimmed. By a lot. I had cut out a half-dozen or more paragraphs out of it when I editted the thing.

I'm horrible with the rambling, because that's exactly how I think. I don't think like everyone else. Sounds like I really need to find myself beta readers.

Most of the humor probably got cut when I editted the thing and cut out the paragraphs I did. >.> At the time, it seemed funnier. Oh well, seems like I'll be reapping.

*laughs* My, that must have been long. Rambling isn't necessarily bad, depending on the character, and your app did have funny potential. It just didn't quite get there.

Nosedive tends to ramble and tell stories, randomly quoting things from common popular culture. And yeah, I think I cut most of the 'funny' out of the app.

Would you? I'd really appreciate it. I think without a beta-reader I'm pretty much sunk, since most rambling Apps other than mine seem perfectly coherent and make sense to me. My thoughts skip around, that's just how I am (it drives everyone I know crazy, I tell you). Aha, last minute work is usually more fun, anyways. Frantic rushes ftw!

I didn't have an issue with the coherency or sense, actually, just length and humor. (But isn't it fun when you ask something odd completely out of the blue and everyody goes 'O_o'?)

XD Thanks! I'll e-mail/AIM you as soon as I get another App started. I'm going to probably start tonight or tomorrow because the sooner, the better. I've researched the canon so I can skip doing that this round. Which method of communication do you prefer, anyways?

I wouldn't mind an episode or two for background, but it's not really necessary XD actually I wanna see the crack but this computer gonna go 'splodey soon. E-mail would be better as I forget to log in to AIM sometimes *shifty eyes*

First two episodes (really one two-parter episode) sound okay? They're the least crackish but they are a good place to start. Also, the only two episodes with slightly decent animation.

... Wait, no, they have crack. I forgot about the ninjas with the super laser trying to rob the bank. Ahahaha. Still trying to figure out how the hell they got that thing in there, 'cause all the windows break *after* they use it. And the shape of the building changes, with doors you didn't see on the outside added on when the Ducks ram through them. Which is something the good guys are supposed to NOT do. D= Destruction of private property, what the hell? XD The writers... didn't think that one through.

You know, I'm not sure, really. What you had there about pinecones and pants amuses me (maybe pants do make everything funnier? The hackysack mental image was fun,anyway) and the last paragraph nearly swayed me to an in.

Maybe it's just that there's not enough. I could get some sense of your character out of it, but not a lot, and that was my major issue with it, I think. Most of what you put into his canon ended up not coming out in the app proper--gender issues, acting, the 'tormented-poet' thing, the immortal jest, the crow--they just weren't used, and there's a lot of funny to be tapped there. I like people making use of the canon in the app too, y'know? Kind of a fine line to walk there, but it does come out better, IMHO.

Think I went off on a big tangent there and I'm not sure this is helpful sorry ;_;

Hmm... I don't think I could get across the gender issues without interacting with someone, but yes. Everything else should make it a longer app. I just didn't want to risk having a longer, but cluttered app. I think I could definitely work on it next time around though~

It's helpful, thanks! At least I know the pinecones-and-pants was a good thing. I liked this app better than my first attempt, anyway. And third time's a charm!
