[maybe you were sleeping, maybe you just stepped into your cabin, a friend's cabin, the mess hall, wherever! But wherever you are, you might be stuck there for a while. Yes, although it is quite a boon. It is much preferable than the buildings being flooded.

There must be some way for the water to drain. And even if there were not, there must be people who know are able to assist with the flooding.

I'm a realist, that's all. Optimism and pessimism both have their pitfalls that can make you underestimate the situation before you.

I agree, especially since there doesn't seem much we can do about the water at the moment. I am curious about whatever it is lurking in the depths, however.

Hmmm... I had wondered if it were possible to swim in this water, but I suppose that is out of the question. Unless one fed it! Perhaps it will not attack anyone if it were well fed.
