[Suddenly, musicians can be heard jamming inside the barn with the… festive looking banner strung up above it.]

Copious amounts of artifacts and Comic Sans writing beneath this cut )

[...talking wolf in a Disney scene? This is probably the less out of place thing]

The music isn't exactly When You Wish Upon a Star.

[Actually a different fairytale, but still . . .]

Mickey's pals don't seem to be into that sort of thing, no.

Yeah, but birthday rules clearly state you can do whatever you want to your party and people have to go along.

...I guess this is his version of a compromise.

It's his party and he can polka if he wants to?

I suppose it is--the one last year was slightly more traditional. And kid-friendly.

Disney and Weird Al are the only two exceptions I make for polka. But I would have been okay if he kept it PG rated, that Pinocchio cake looks...suspect.

. . . It might not be Pinocchio?

[But how ironic it would be if it was . . .]

It might not, but I really don't want to think about the alternatives.

Yeah--the cake is not quite "always let your conscience be your guide".

I'll be glad if nothing in the cake had a conscience or a consciousness in the first place.

It looks like it's composed of mainly artificial food coloring and bad taste.

What, never seen a birthday anniversary jam party?

the_ex_in_xp November 28 2011, 05:26:06 UTC
I have, but I was expecting more "Small World" and less Cascada. Uh, Happy Birthday Mickey?

Thanks Ramona. I'd be playin' somethin' more traditional, but Dave's mostly into electronic music and Brook's always experimentin', so we're just trying to find even ground at the moment. Might take us a while, but I'm sure we'll get there!

Maybe something like Pirates of the Caribbean electronica remix?
