That's one of the difficulties of the game. It's simple enough to learn, but how you progress from there is entirely dependent on being able to practice.

It's called chess, Nana. Two people each try to move their pieces on the board so capture the other person's king piece.

*points of the king to her*

Each different kind of piece has a different name and can move a different way.

That's how long it took us to finish this game. I won very, very quickly. We'll see if he gets any better.
