[You are standing in front of a fireplace in what looks to be a large, old-fashioned kitchen. The fire is banked and radiating heat. A passage leads away from the kitchen--there might be sounds of people talking coming from that direction. Outside the kitchen is a yard with a vegetable patch and some dilapidated outbuildings. It is night--probably late evening.]

*...Walking towards those voices, but not going to go all the way up to them.*

[There might be the sounds of adults talking and someone crying in the lighted room beyond.]

*Going closer. This is a little concerning.*

[If you peek past the door ahead, you'd be looking into a lady's bedroom--there is a shrouded figure on the bed. The people standing around the bed are talking in hushed tones and some of them weeping. There is an air of sadness permeating the room.]

*Waiting at the door, listening but going to move on after a moment if nothing happens.*

[The people in the room fade away in a minute or so, leaving behind a little girl in mourning weeds. When the shrouded body disappears, she gets up and runs out of the room by the other door that might not have been there earlier.]

[She is good at running though. The next rooms that flash past are the rooms of a large house of some sort--a grand hall, a sitting room, parlour, a laundry room and then you're back in the kitchen again. Someone is talking--two people in fact.]

*Running after her all the way back to the--wait, the kitchen again? Ducking back out that door to listen a bit more unobtrusively.*

[Both voices are female. And the conversation ends pretty quickly with a flash of light and what looks like glitter. Standing in the kitchen are a stout middle-aged woman with fairy wings on her back and the older version of the girl in a silvery ball gown. They aren't paying attention to you though--in fact, the fairy woman is hurrying the girl out to the backyard.]

[There are horses outside. And a horse-drawn carriage that looks mostly like a pumpkin. The sound of hooves seems to indicate that someone has already left ahead of you.

The horses or the carriage?]

*The carriage. That's just weird looking.*

[The doors of the carriage shut behind you and then the horses start off. The carriage whisks you through unknown streets before stopping outside what looks like a palace. The doors open and you might notice that you are in very nice court clothes now.]

Getting out of the carriage and looking around before heading up towards the palace.*
