[out near the barrier today there is a girl gazing out across the cornfields. she's wearing a simple, old-fashioned shirt and skirt, her hair falls down past her waist and, well, she looks pretty darn puzzled.]

Lud, but I must have taken a wrong turn...

You, me, and all of us. I don't think anyone plans to end up in this place.

[casting a light mental probe toward Mitsuko; not intruding, simply looking at conscious thoughts]

And where is this place?

[Mitsuko is (a) bored and looking for something to do, (b) a bit sorry for the newcomer, and (c) wondering if the bar is open. Nothing too fascinating going on here.]

It's called Camp. I don't know where it is, exactly - suffice it to say that wherever you were going, you can't get there from here.

"Camp". That is an odd name to call a place.

Well, it's got a longer one, but I figure new arrivals would find it a little, uh, off-putting.

Well, what is it? Calling a camp, "Camp", seems rather uninviting.

Less inviting than "Camp Fuck You Die"?

Perhaps not. Naming a place for death is somewhat offputting.

I would have to agree. Though if it's any consolation, you can't actually die here. Well, not permanently, anyway.

I have heard this from another as well. It's difficult to believe such a thing can be true.

It is pretty bizarre, that's for sure. But so is a lot of stuff around here.

I cannot argue with that. I have seen impassable land before, but never a barrier like this.

That was a new one on me, too. I guess you've already gotten the whole spiel about how you can't leave?

I have, though had I not experienced the strangeness of this barrier for myself, I would find it more difficult to believe.

Experienced it how, exactly?

I attempted to walk through it, and yet somehow I was still within in. Is that not normally what happens?
