[an indeterminate period of time ago (mainly because i am too damn lazy to look it up) your characters may have found themselves in the strangest of places - the minds of other people. There, they could learn all sorts of interesting things about their fellow detainees, such as their horrible love for disco ( Read more... )

[If you want to take a trip into Desmond's subconscious... It looks like a loading screen. Everything is flashing in and out of focus. Like a badly done computer simulation, or one that's been corrupted.

You are in Florence, Italy in 1476 suddenly, though it still flickers every now and again to remind you that there is something not quite right about it.

A strange wall of code is blocking your entry to most of the buildings. In the distance, you can see a flickering light. And if you look in the other direction, there is a vendor, a doctor wearing his mask for the plague

The people flash in and out of existence.]

*What.

Looking around without moving anywhere. This is really far into the uncanny valley for him.*

[it looks like a normal square. Finally, the people flicker fully into existence.

But something doesn't seem right. Not all of them are speaking Italian. Some are speaking the tongues of an entirely different continent.]

*Casually wanders over to one of the groups of people talking in Italian to listen in to their conversation, keeping a wary eye on everything else.*

[they're talking about some idle gossip. It's hardly memorable.

The Florentine guards pass by.]

[as you head towards the light, the city flickers again, and you can hear voices.]

"He's not stable enough..."

"Fix it!"

"I'll go back to an earlier memory."

[the scene shifts again, flashing through other cities, before stablizing back in Florence. This time, though, you are at a bridge. On one side of the bridge is Ezio and his friends, on the other, a surly boy. They look to be having a confrontation]

*One hand on the railing of the bridge to steady himself. What a trip.

Then he sees Ezio and goes still, watching silently. Takes a careful step forward.*

[Ezio doesn't look at him, he seems to be talking to his friends. But the surly boy throws a rock at him and shouts,]

"Enough of your nonsense, grulo!"

[The scene shifts, and different architecture surrounds them. Forli, Venice, Rome, and then Damascus. Ezio replies,]

"Buona sera, Vieri. We were just talking about you!"

*...Yeah, still not used to that.

Following after Ezio, though, standing at a bit of a distance behind him curiously.*

[Ezio changes. Suddenly, he looks old, and is in his assassin's robe, though the conversation continues on normally.]

"I'm surprised to see you here. I thought the Pazzi hired others to do their work?"

[he changes again, this time he's Desmond, while Vieri now looks like an old man in a white lab coat.]

[the voices fade out, and everything starts to go crazy, like a hard mess up. The scenery vanishes, as does the old man. Desmond stays though even he seems like he's frozen
