[You're just entering a beautiful and picture perfect Japanese village. Occasionally someone passes by you, but they don't seem quite...real, as though they're just as much a part of the background as the village itself. It's sunset, and the crickets are chirping. Everything seems very quiet and peaceful for now.

If you look ahead, you see many paths branching off the path you're currently on, with no real indication as to which might lead you deeper.]

[Especially in Rika's subconscious, Hanyuu's useless. not!Hanyuu doesn't respond, waiting for you to choose any of the near infinite paths. It seems that some lead to the obvious places in Hinamizawa - the school, Rika's friends' houses, Satoko's hill, the bridge, etc. - while others seem to lead nowhere in particular. The path to the shrine may or may not exist, but it is not obvious and there are many paths to choose from]
