All right, it's pretty obvious from the countdown that something's coming. August 19th is when it finishes, and this is one of the first times we've had adequate time to prepare. If the soirée was any indication, things can only go from bad to worse, though that could've been a lot worse. I'm just saying ... we should probably be ready for the worst.
So, I'd like to get a discussion going. Of what people think we can do. How we can prepare. It's Tuesday, so the stocks of food are a little low right now, but that doesn't mean we can't get started once everything's stabilized tomorrow. In these scenarios, it's probably a good idea to prepare to go to ground entirely-bomb shelter style. But I don't know how viable that is right now. Then again, there are a lot of powerful people here in camp.
But what I'm saying is that this is serious. I really think we're in trouble. Some of you know me, some of you don't, so maybe you can ask friends. That's all I want. People to have people to rely on, places to go when this might go to hell.
As it is, there's a couple leads we might have.
First: the carnival in general. And the countdown. These are more basic. More obvious. I got told by someone a few months ago that something dangerous was coming. We saw that first in May, but they managed to repair it. I feel comfortable telling everyone now that something is coming. I don't know what. But I get the feeling that that's not our problem.
Second: The planner of the soirée. Her name is Noir. If you've met her, she's ... petulant, mocking. She's responsible for what went bad there. If we can get a hold of her, I think we'll be able to figure out what's going on. I don't know how good of a clue that is, but I've talked to her fellow crew members and I know she's a bit of a wild card.
Other than that, we can just do our best. We're a community, even if we all have our own people we care about. I'll answer questions, and I invite others to do the same.
Sorry for the length of this, but I didn't want to cut corners. And if you've talked to me about this before, I'd like to talk to anyone again.
