[has settled down onto a blanket while he waits for Vanessa. there's a basket sitting next to him, and a leather journal in his lap that he's been writing in. pausing for a moment, he takes out a cigarette and lights up, watching the fireflies dance with a small smile.]

[When she gets there, she sits on the blanket without saying a word, arms crossed and glaring at Fuuma]

Even if I didn't want to take part to that auction, I guess it counts as having given my word. Of course I wouldn't back down on this.

A little, yes.

Did you prepare all of this?

Just what's in the basket.

[closes the journal and sets it aside, pulling the basket out in front of him]

I have tea and sandwiches, and some fruit and cheese.

I'm surprised you actually put some work into this. You do know how to treat a lady in the end. But that sounds good.

Just don't be disappointed that it's not fancy.

[setting out the food and pouring two cups of tea from a thermos]

I didn't have any high expectation about this to begin with.

In my family? No, I'm the second-youngest.

How many sibling do you have?

[looking away now, because baww, dead brothers :(]

Four, including Elliot. There are Vincent and Gilbert too, but I don't consider those two as part of the family.
