Why are they so angry?

The better question is - when are they not angry? Although they're definitely moodier than usual this evening.

This is nothing. I can handle it.

You're not worried about getting hurt?

While this is a nuisance, it's not like a machine is going to maim me. Whatever.

[... dips his head to the side as a quarter whizzes on by.]

Are you sure? It looks dangerous to me.

It's not that bad.

[kicks the machine! and it whirs to life, actually working. noisy, but working.]

[still hovering in the doorway and points to the machine]

Are you sure your clothes are safe?

[boldstarring]

[shifts away from the machine, heading back towards the doorway.]

That one usually doesn't mess things up. I spent several months last summer experimenting with the various machines to find out which ones worked well and which ones didn't. I'd like to think that that one and I have a ... rapport of sorts.

How much laundry do you do?

A lot, but every other week. Finn and I alternate so we don't have to deal with the machines every single week. It works out well enough.

Did you have to do laundry at home?

[boldstarring]

Of course. It wasn't quite the ordeal that it has been here, thankfully.

Hargreeves had someone do our laundry at home. I had to learn how to here.

It's a useful skill.
